Florida Snook
After a visit to ICAST I took the family for a trip to Sanibel, Marco Island, Florida Keys and Miami. Unforgettable!
Sunrise was a great time to walk the beach with a fly rod. The fishing wasn't hot but every session you'd see some snook cruising the beach waves. So caught a few of them and also some ladyfish. A 9ft #7 or #8 weight rod with a good reel that holds a floating line will do the job. Use small white streamers tied on #1/0 or 2/0 saltwater hooks. You're sight fishing so bring polarized glasses.
On Marco Island I found many shells. Later that trip at Robbie's on Islamorada we fed the Tarpon. Cool memories!
